I play my drum for Him

Hello friends! I had such a fun night! Kayla and I had an adventure in the kitchen. I am might proud of both of us if I might say so! I wont keep you waiting......I know you want to see our masterpiece! Drumroll please( not pun intended)..................................................................

I think we did pretty great! What do you think?

My hands are clean I promise! Just a little chocolate icing!

So I should probably explain why we had a wild hair to bake this cute cake right? My church is having a Winter Rose Ceremony. Its something that is lead by the choir during the Christmas season. Its actually my first year to go to it, so I am very excited. I decided to be a host at a table and invited 6 wonderful women in my life to enjoy the night with me! As a host, I provide a dessert and this was my choice. Its really not as complicated as I thought it would be. Kayla and I learned that if we follow a recipe, it will go a lot smoother! We had fun while Chad, Kaylas sweet boyfriend, played photgrapher and watched Knight and Day. He doesnt want to admit it, but he was WISHING he was head chef in this little bake off we had!

Alright I have an early morning and a wedding shower to go to tomorrow! One of the sweetest friends I know is getting married in July! I am so excited to see her next chapter in life take off! Tomorrow is an ornament shower for their first Christmas tree. All this just gets me excited about meeting my Mr Right and doing all the fun stuff! My turn will come! For now, Ill just keep my eyes on God and let him show me where he wants me to go! (Its still fun to think about though!)

Oh Thursday, why are you so busy?

Isnt a day off supposed to be a when Im OFF the hook of working? Not this gal. Im betting for the next year, there will be no such thing as a day off, just a day away from the hair world!

Im just going to vent for a second. My three fears in life are mascots, mouse traps, and jumping a car off when the battery is dead. I think these are all childhood fears that will never go away. Ive faced all 3 since Ive been older and I still am scared...to...death. Well, last night I get in my car to leave work and guess what!! Oh yes, my battery is dead. That ticking noise just makes my blood boil! Haha... Well my wonderful boss jump started my car for me, not to mention played a joke on me while I was taking the cable off the 2 cars, making me think the car just BLEW up in my face. I get to my new :) house, and get to work. Time to go home after a long night of painting right? You are very wrong. Dead again! So right now a day later, my lovely green xterra is sitting in my new driveway. I got to lug around the HUGE truck. Im just trying not to turn my new yard into a junk yard yet, so Ill be dealing with my battery tonight! Wish me luck.

I got started at 530 this morning at the gym, then off the paint some doors so we could lay the rest of the floor upstairs! Looks great! I went to Hernando to pick out cabinets! They will be measuring Monday! They say it takes 2 to 4 weeks, which is a lifesaver. The first place I looked at takes 8 weeks!

The second best part of my day was picking up my new tv!
42 inch Vizio. I heard good things and it was a good price at Sams Club! I sure hope its a good tv!

So the best part of the day was showing off my new house to 2 great friends! Im so glad Nicole and Caitlin got to see my "before" version of the house! They had some good ideas I will definitely use! Girls, get ready to decorate! Ill need help.

Well im ready to get in bed and watch the rest of The Santa Clause. That and Elf are my two favorite Christmas movies! Goodnight!
